What is Parables? 

Parables is the groundbreaking short film series that is being filmed over the course of the next year at various locations across the Cincinnati area.  Each short episode is a modern day interpretation of a biblical parable with an inspirational theme that focuses on real issues our tweens and teens deal with, such as: bullying, obesity, cheating, abuse of social networking sites, and more. 

Who makes up the Parables team?

Producing and distributing the series is studio executive veteran Michael Katchman whose career includes executive positions at MGM, Orion, Lionsgate, and First Look.  Filmmaker on the rise David Donnelly is writing and directing.  In addition, the Parables team includes Propeller Consulting, who have marketed and developed such brands as Veggie Tales, Bob the Builder, and Barney. 

How Can I Get Involved?

Parables is always seeking the following:  actors of all ages (both paid and unpaid); volunteers to help out during pre-production and on set; in kind contributions such as meals for cast/crew; wardrobe donations; ideas for future episodes and more.  Crew calls and the shooting schedule for the second episode will be announced shortly.  And don't forget to watch a clip from our pilot episode in the screen above.
